Acceptable Usage Policies
1. RECORDAL
1.1. Global Online hereby sells the service to the User on the acceptable usage policies herein contained which acceptable usage policies the User is deemed to have familiarised himself/herself with and to have irrevocably accepted.
2. INTERPRETATION
2.1. In these acceptable usage policies:
2.1.1. "the User" means the party who has purchased the service and/or the goods and/or any person using the service and/or the goods;
2.1.2. "the Service" means the Internet service described herein provided by Global Online to the User in terms of the terms and conditions herein contained;
2.1.3. "the Goods" means any supplied and/or purchased item;
2.1.4. "Global Online" means A. Howard and Associates trading as Global Online.
3. ACCEPTABLE USAGE POLICY
3.1. Global Online provides its service of Internet access and provision, subject to the following acceptable usage policies.
3.2. Please read this policy carefully before using or continuing to use our service, because as the User you are expected to comply with all acceptable usage policies specified in this policy.
3.3. We reserve the right to update this policy, from time to time, without notice to the User. However, Global Online will make reasonable efforts to notify the user of any changes to this policy.
4. LAWS AND REGULATIONS
4.1. All Users agree:
4.1.1. to use Global Online services and infrastructure only for lawful purposes; and
4.1.2. not to violate any of the laws and regulations of South Africa.
5. REGISTRATION OBLIGATIONS
5.1. All Users agree to:
5.1.1. complete the Global Online registration form in an honest manner; and
5.1.2. update this form when and if the need arises.
5.1.3. If the User submits incorrect information to us, or we have reasonable grounds to suspect that the User has provided Global Online with incorrect information, Global Online reserves the right to suspend or terminate services to the User.
6. PRIVACY POLICY
6.1. All registration data and other relevant information are subject to Global Online Privacy Policy.
7. MEMBERS ACCOUNT, PASSWORD AND SECURITY
7.1. Each User is responsible for the maintenance of the confidentiality of their own password and account, as well as for all activities occurring under their account or password. Global Online must be notified immediately of any unauthorised use of the password or account of a User. The use of the password and account name entitles use of the service by only one user at any one time.
8. USER'S LIABILITY
8.1. Users are responsible for all content that they upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available by using Global Online services. Global Online is not liable for any content, errors or omissions, or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of any use of content posted, emailed, transmitted or otherwise made available via Global Online service.
9. USER'S UNDERTAKINGS
9.1. The User undertakes, in respect of himself/herself and any other party using its access to Global Online services, not to:
9.1.1. engage in any hacking activity;
9.1.2. upload, post, email, transmit or make available any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, racist or otherwise objectionable content;
9.1.3. upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any material which infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other intellectual property right of any party;
9.1.4. upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any unauthorised advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail", "spam'," chain letters", "pyramid schemes" or any other form of solicitation;
9.1.5. wittingly or repeatedly upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any material containing software viruses or any computer code, files or programmes designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
9.1.6. disrupt the normal flow of dialogue, cause a screen to "scroll" faster than other Users of the service are able to type, or otherwise act in a manner that negatively affects other Users' ability to engage in real-time exchanges;
9.1.7. interfere with, or disrupt the service or servers or networks connected to the service, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to the service,
9.1.8. intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law, and any regulations having the force of law;
9.1.9. "stalk" or harass another; or
9.1.10. collect or store personal data about other Users.
10. INDEMNITY
10.1. By using Global Online's service, the User indemnifies Global Online against all claims, liabilities and expenses (including legal and other fees and disbursements) sustained in respect of, access to and/or use of the services provided by Global Online, this website, any information, data or material produced, transmitted or downloaded by the User or co-Users, and any breach by the User or co-Users of the acceptable usage policies of this policy, or of any law, code or regulation.
11. TERMINATION OF SERVICE
11.1. Global Online is entitled to immediately terminate its service to a User, if it believes that the User is in breach of any term, condition or provision of this policy, or of any law, code or regulation.
11.2. Global Online has the right, to block, move, or takedown any content made available by any User through its service.
12. CHANGES TO ACCEPTABLE USAGE POLICIES
12.1. Global Online updates this policy from time to time so please review it periodically. The User may view such changes at http://www.gonline.co.za and unless otherwise notified.
